New Kitchen for a Very Old House!
Happy New Year!
My new year started off with a photo shoot of a kitchen project finished recently. See how this 120 year old house was treated to an updated kitchen without sacrificing its vintage character. While last year was the year of many kitchen renovations, this year is starting off with bathroom renovations. Check out 2 of them that we’re working on now.
Enjoy and reach out if you need anything!

Kitchen Renovation in Graceland West
A rowhouse in the historical neighborhood of Graceland West caught the eye of a couple looking to buy their first home. With 11’ ceilings, bay windows and exposed brick details they couldn’t resist taking on the challenge of transforming it. The new homeowners knew that the kitchen renovation would be one of the first big projects to tackle. They chose a clean transitional style with slate gray shaker cabinets and wood shelves. The original brick remains behind the vent hood and creates an interesting focal point. White subway tile to the ceiling mimics the brick while brightening up the room. The look was completed with a concrete-like quartz countertop and stainless steel appliances.
The dining area of the kitchen features built-in banquette seating at a large table. Check out all the photos of this project here.
Main Bathroom Renovation in Lincoln Park
This home owner loves color and requested an accent of plum for her 4th bathroom to be renovated with us. The quartz countertop has veining in grays and purples which works perfectly with her favorite tile. Also a fan of interesting shapes, she chose Ann Sacks “arrowhead” mosaic for the floor. Sliding glass doors will close off the toilet room where there is space for a tall storage cabinet.
Bathroom renovation in Lincoln Park
The guest bathroom of a Lincoln Park home is outdated and feels dark and cramped. To update it in a modern style, gray-blue was chosen for the vanity while the floor tile will be a lighter shade of spa blue. The shower will be brightened up with wall tile that is white with a light blue/gray border.
