Just Completed Kitchen

In a Lincoln Park Townhouse, this kitchen renovation features a mix of rift cut oak and glossy white.  The wood brings warmth and texture to the modern design.

To create a more functional kitchen, an awkwardly shaped pantry closet was rebuilt to house wall ovens.  Now a tall pantry cabinet next to the refrigerator is more useful, with its roll out shelves and proximity to the peninsula.

BEFORE

AFTER

BEFORE, all the cooking appliances were close together, causing congestion in this small space.  Additionally, the microwave vent hood wasn’t sufficient for the family’s cooking needs.

AFTER, with the cooktop separated from the ovens, the kitchen is more open and spacious. Large drawers below provide convenient storage for pots and pans.

A wall of subway tile is a beautiful background for the sleek vent hood and floating wall cabinets. The  tile has a raked surface which provides subtle contrast to the flat panel cabinets and quartz countertop.  The final result is a functional kitchen that is modern, bright and warm.
