Why go out when you can relax and entertain in the comfort of your own home? That’s what our client envisioned for their house in Chicago’s Roger Park neighborhood. In a space ideally situated between the dining room and patio but unfortunately used only for “hiding” unwanted stuff, we found the perfect spot for a bar and entertainment area. Cherry cabinets were selected to complement the warms tones used throughout the home.
Floating shelves and cabinetry with glass doors add an open, modern feel while providing always-appreciated storage and display options. A floating round counter is perfect for sipping wine and hot chocolate on cold winter nights, watching a movie or game on the wall-mounted T.V. A quartz countertop in coffee brown has plenty of richness and depth. Recycled glass tiles in celadon, gold and orange make a stunning backdrop. At night, a flick of a switch turns on interior cabinet lights and turns up the ambience. Need to getaway? Pull up a stool and forget that you’re home.
