Getting Going in the Gold Coast!

Lake Shore Drive Bathroom A beautiful, spacious apartment overlooking Lake Michigan has it all, except for the main bathroom which fell into neglect after a leak and has since become a storage room. The renovation goal is to transform it into a home spa that will be used and enjoyed every day. The concept drawing shows a freestanding tub and open shower. A wall of accent tile will be a stunning highlight as one enters the room. See the before photos below.
BEFORE: the tub became a storage space

BEFORE: the shower was enclosed and dark

Apartment Renovation on Bellevue
Just off Lake Shore Drive, a couple is downsizing from a townhouse in Lincoln Park. But there will be an “upsize” in style as this entire apartment will be renovated. The biggest job is removing the porcelain floor tile throughout and replacing it with wood. The wall between the kitchen and dining room will be removed, allowing the kitchen to be larger and include an island. The bathrooms, closets and lighting will be next on the list.

Home Office Renovation
Snuggled within high rises, is a small complex of townhouses converted from a factory in the 80’s. Upon entering, the first floor is open but feels disjointed and impractical. There is a step down from the hallway to the main area and the non-structural posts block the view.

Since the owner wants to utilize the room as an occasional guest room, it must be enclosed and include a closet, but he wants it to feel light, bright and open.

Design Concept: Sliding glass doors will enable the space to be multi-purpose, while keeping the room light filled and enjoyable for daily use.
