Paint changes everything!

Evanston Apartment: THEN
This vintage apartment has beautiful architectural details including built-in bookcases, picture trim and crown molding. Paint has transformed this home from dull and outdated to fresh and modern. The before photo shows the living room with cream walls, orange sconces and heavy draperies.

Now The color scheme in the living room was chosen to be soothing and reminiscent of the sky and water. The picture trim is accented with a slightly darker tone while the back of the bookcases stands out in its dark, rich shade. The white sconces and window shades add the final touches.

Then The multi purpose dining room/library had yellow walls and a traditional chandelier.

Now The room feels airy and open with light gray walls accented by charcoal gray crown molding. New reading lights and drum pendant complete this modern look.

Dunning Apartment Complex
The lobbies of this Chicago area apartment complex are overdue for an update. A full renovation is in the works which will include new floor tile, wallpaper, furniture, lighting and artwork.

The materials chosen will update the space with gray concrete-like large format tiles and a wallpaper that is subtle but adds texture and durability.

This rendering shows the planned seating, which includes a bench, chairs and side tables. The wall to wall mirrors will be replaced with hanging mirrors. Colorful artwork of Chicago scenes will add color and interest.
