    Classic with a Modern Twist

West Loop Kitchen

With only a day to spare, the kitchen is almost complete in time for move in day.  The backsplash tile has been installed and will be grouted next.  The light gray tile has a classic feel with a modern twist — 5″x 5″ squares feature an undulating surface and irregular edges.
The Ceasurstone quartz countertop in “Turbine Gray” is a beautiful mix of neutral tones which pull together the dark warm gray and textured white cabinets.  The lower, wraparound counter has plenty of room for a dinner party or for spreading out with a project.

South Loop Fireplace Wall

A mix of smooth painted wood, black granite and marble tiles make this fireplace wall modern, yet classic.  Storage, a display niche, mantle, fireplace and a large TV transformed this room into a beautiful and functional space for hanging

DESIGN CONCEPT DRAWING

Old Town Row House
With the basement renovation complete, attention has turned to the kitchen.  The goal of this partial renovation was to remain classic and true to the vintage architecture, while adding some modern touches.  A large pass-through has been fabricated between the kitchen and dining room wall.

On the dining room side, the opening will allow guests to interact with those in the kitchen.  A counter will provide a place to sit while having a drink and socializing.
