Textured White and Smooth Gray

Textured White and Smooth Gray in the West Loop Loft
Move in day is November 14, giving us just enough time to complete everything.
The cabinets have been installed–countertops, backsplash tile and pendant lights will follow.  A mix of textured white and warm gray shaker style cabinets accomplishes the homeowner’s vision of mixing modern with warm and classic elements.   A two level quartz countertop will bring the colors together and provide a dining counter for 4 people and a bookcase at one end.  Check back in 2 weeks to see the transformed space!

South Loop Fireplace Wall
The two week wait for the custom stone and quartz installation date has arrived! The hearth is Caesurstone quartz  “Rugged Concrete”.  This material mimics the look and feel of concrete, but is more durable and maintenance free.  The mantle and accent piece are Black Absolute granite.  Next step is covering the wall in White Carrara marble tile.  This fireplace feature wall with its mix of glossy and honed surfaces will be a beautiful and functional focal point of the family room.

Old Town Row House
A final touch to this renovated basement was painting the ducts with metallic bronze paint.  The color adds warmth to the room and brings out various tones in the brick.  It’s now all cleaned up from construction and ready for the carpet installation.  See the before photos below.
